I'm thinking of booking a market town the weekend of Christmas in Europe recommendations?

I alternate between Prague and Copenhagen in Vienna from year to year. All are great Christmas markets and there are many things to see and do in the cities. Brian suggestions are excellent. It is very hard to go wrong anywhere you choose. I was in a year in Bielefeld, which was great. A further option would be to come here in Italy there are Christmas markets in wonderful places like Bolzano, Trento, Merano and Verona and all major cities also have beautiful Christmas markets. There are also big screens Presepi (nurseries) in different cities. Rome has 100 of them in the room Bramont Verona each year and has a large screen Presepi everyone in the Roman Coliseum.
